We started working with Tony in 2020 when he was on the search for a new desk for his home office. Having delivered his new The Brunel Desk a few months later, it was safe to say that a new bond had formed.
Then, in 2021, while we were all ducking in and out of lockdowns and uncertainty, Tony & his partner Richard contacted us to arrange a showroom visit – something we recommend to potential customers.
Fortunately, during their visit, the SV family won them over, and we were approached to begin making the furniture for the entire office, including some new, bespoke pieces.
Due to the complexity of the project and several new designs, Jon took the time to design the floor plan, ensuring that it was a beautiful and functional office. This resulted in a carefully designed office environment, split into separate zones, utilising the space available.
The seating area features 3 of our Brunel Sofas nestled around a large Steampunk Coffee Table – perfect as a waiting area or space to chat over coffee, with a convenient kitchenette along the front wall, using units from our Workshop Kitchen range.
The back of the room became the designated office area featuring two Great Western Desks & matching Executive Chairs, in addition to one Brunel Sideboard and one Steampunk Sideboard on each side. Perfectly nestled in the middle is a custom-made Great Western Printer Unit, which includes electric lifters allowing Tony and Richard to access the printer when needed and hide away when it isn’t.
On the opposite side of the room is the boardroom area, with our Great Western Table as a statement piece surrounded by Great Western Chairs, a Great Western TV Unit to house their video conferencing system, and along the wall a 3-metre Brunel Glass Board.
We worked cohesively with Tony & Richard to ensure they were happy at every stage of development.
We, as a company, are incredibly proud of this office’s final outcome, which we believe showcases some of our best work.
Tony and Richard were an absolute pleasure to work with, and we hope to get the chance to work together again at some point in the future.
