Decorating a shared office space can be a daunting process, from what style you choose to how many desks you’ll need – what you need is a company that will work with you every step of the way, from initial drawings to installation of your office furniture.
So, where do you start?
THE DESKS
The first step would be to decide the kind of desk styles you would be looking for – for example, do you need shared desks for employees, or are you looking for a show-stopping desk for a CEO?
Let’s start at the entrance – the reception desk is the first one your visitors will see, so it needs to impress.
We’ve recently completed our Steampunk Reception Desk, complete with a laser-cut privacy panel & high shelf. We currently have another design in the pipeline, so watch this space!
For large office spaces, shared desks are the best option to utilise the space you have available; our multi-person desks are popular and can be found in the head offices of Expedia and Jamie Oliver.
The designs for this type of desk are varied, depending on the number of staff you have and the ease at which they can communicate with each other.
Our most popular multi-person desk is our Grand Artisan Range, which is available for 1, 2, 3, or 4 people making them suitable for offices of all different sizes. We recently completed a full-office project for a design company in Bristol, which consisted of our Grand Artisan Desks in various sizes.
The Workshop Modular Desk & Workshop Bench Desks are a popular choice for more extensive, open-plan spaces and can currently sit up to 8 people on one desk.
When it comes to the boss’s desk, the more extravagant the better! Some of our most popular desks for CEO’s & CFO’s alike include any of our Brunel Desk Range, The Steampunk Desk & The Kingsbridge Standing Desk.
THE STORAGE
One of the keys to a successful company is organisation; that’s why we’ve created a range of office storage solutions, from cupboards to filing trolleys.
Our Workshop Range is the obvious choice for office storage as you can select a 3/4 drawer unit, filing cabinets or The Workshop Double Cupboard – all in raw polished, powder-coated steel.
Our Engineering Sideboard Range has proven popular in office environments (we even have one in our office!) due to its versatility and variations. First, choose either 1, 2 or 3 modules, then select drawers, cupboards & shelving to suit your needs.
If you’re a fan of our Brunel Range, you could choose one of our Brunel Sideboards to match our Brunel Desks.
Finally, The Factory Range consisting of a Filing Trolley, TV Trolley & Units V1 & V2 different units would make excellent additions to your desks as they fit perfectly underneath.
THE TABLES
Starting with the boardroom – all of our table designs are available in custom sizes, so if you’re looking for a large boardroom table, we’re happy to help!
Our best-selling Brunel Table can be found in many different boardrooms – the lattice trim makes it unique so that it can be enjoyed while gathered around the table.
Another popular choice is The Pilot Table due to its striking leg design.
The Steampunk Round Table makes the perfect meeting room table as the shape encourages collaboration and allows employees to admire the symmetrical design beneath the glass.
You may also need a table for your canteen or kitchen area – [Insider note: we have a custom Generals Table in our kitchen at Steel Vintage]. We have also previously made one for a customer along with a range of desks and storage solutions.
THE KITCHEN
Both of our kitchen ranges, both The Brunel Kitchen & The Workshop Kitchen, are available as kitchenettes due to their modular designs. Customers choose our kitchens for their offices due to their durability and customisation options.
THE ACCESSORIES
Every office needs a glass board for planning and organisation – choose from our Brunel or Steampunk collections.
Complete each of your desks with a selection of Steel Vintage accessories – we also offer our Studio Desk Accessory Bundles; with six bundles to choose from, we know you’ll find the perfect one!
Our skilled designers will be happy to help design your office layout and provide you with technical drawings of how this may look!
We’re incredibly proud of all of the past office projects we’ve worked on; feel free to read through our case studies to see what our customers thought of the process – here.
