Industrial Decor: Transforming Interiors Everywhere

Steel Vintage Blog - Industrial Decor: Transforming Interiors Everywhere

Steel Vintage has been handcrafting a range of bespoke industrial furniture since 2012. During that time, the team have worked on countless projects, transforming rooms and workspaces with an industrial flair for many clients across several different industries. Industrial decor has been a growing trend over the last few years and it is now not a rare sight to see it in premium homes, offices, retailers and restaurants.

Industrial design is becoming more and more popular because it offers something unique and special, which is hard to find in modern interior design.

The focal point of an industrial space is often the furniture within it, which can come in a variety of different styles, shapes and sizes. Tables, for example, can range from simple and classic aesthetics to very bold and unusual designs. There are many desirable traits of industrial furniture that help to transform any room or workspace.

The one trait that Steel Vintage values above all others is the attention to detail that is put into each furniture piece. By combining expert craftsmanship with high-quality wood and steel, we create furniture that you simply can’t get anywhere else. Here are just some of the projects we have worked on over the last 6 years. To look at more of our work, be sure to check out the rest of our case studies.

Industrial furniture is highly sought after by homeowners who want to make a statement. This bespoke orange synthetic leather corner bench seat is a modified version of our Classic X Bench Seat. The vibrant orange colour contrasts nicely with the darker oak and refined steel legs.

The Architects Table with the accompanying stools provides a perfect space to gather around with family and friends for food and fun. This particular client wanted a dining table to fit a particular space in their converted loft style home so we were able to adapt to their needs like we do with all of our clients.

Dining tables are a popular request that we get for home furniture. For those looking for the grandest of designs, we don’t hesitate to offer the Brunel Table. Named after one of the most famous engineers of all time, we designed the Brunel to live up to its name.

There have been many businesses, in this case, Amigo Loans, who have wanted to transform their offices with industrial decor. Studies have shown that a better workplace environment is linked to better productivity as we explored in a previous article.

Amigo Loans wanted a ‘bench style’ workspace layout for their head office to encourage open communication between staff. In response to this brief, Steel Vintage handcrafted 68 bespoke desks to seat over 350 staff.

Meeting Rooms & Boardrooms

Meeting rooms and boardrooms are the perfect space for a grand furniture piece to impress clients. In business, first impressions are everything so having an amazing boardroom table can show clients that your company is the real deal.

Steel Vintage was briefed to create a boardroom table for Expedia’s office in Prague, Czech Republic. They wanted a fully bespoke table that followed the ‘African style’ theme of their office. The Grand Oak Table was what we came up with.

More retail stores are contacting us enquiring about industrial furniture. High-end stores, especially, are looking for high-end furniture to help sway potential customers. More stores feel that the furniture showcasing their premium products should reflect that.
The Fred Perry retail store in Bristol ordered several industrial high tables with matching low benches to display a range of their products. The furniture that Steel Vintage provided was a perfect addition to the industrial decor that Fred Perry was looking for.

Lots of new restaurants, bars and cafes are looking to get industrial decor because it provides a warm ambience and atmosphere.
For the Michelin Star restaurant Paco Tapas in Bristol, we supplied a range of high tables and matching bar stools which were carefully designed to fit the quirky space and industrial design of the listed building.

Steel Vintage can create bespoke industrial furniture for any space no matter how big or small. To see what we could do for you, feel free to contact us with any questions, possible projects and product enquiries.
