The Tanker Pedestal Desk. Both solid and practical with a commanding appearance.
Inspired by the traditional sheet metal American Tanker desks that were mass produced from the 1940s until the 1970s and were widely used within the military.
Design and construction.
The hand fabricated base is made from precision laser cut hot rolled mild steel which has a beautiful patina. Each panel is riveted together offering a traditional exposed industrial look. The top frame is made from 50x50mm angle iron which is fully welded and supports the solid Oak or Walnut top. The desk is available in a range of configurations including open face cupboards, drawers or cupboards. Height adjustable feet ensure the desk sits flat on any surface. The privacy panel includes a large cable tray and various cable holes throughout the desk make cable management easy.

Assembly details.
All of our office desks come with detachable legs as standard. There are 6 x M8 bolts that attach each pedestal to the frame using the supplied 5mm Hex key. The cable tray and privacy panel also bolts to the main frame and pedestals.
