Steel Vintage Got Pretty Muddy!

cancer research race for life

On Saturday 14th May, 3 of the members of the Steel Vintage family headed up to Swindon for the Race For Life Pretty Muddy.

They laced up their trainers, participated in the group warm-up and then set off on a 5k run across the beautiful Lydiard Park.

They were met with a range of different mud-related obstacles, from navigating through a spider’s web to crawling through tunnels & under cargo nets before finishing by sliding down the mudslide.

The girls got incredibly lucky with the weather, with it reaching over 20 degrees – the perfect temperature to be covered in muddy water!

Though they had a great day, we must remember what they were running for – Cancer Research UK.

Cancer Research UK is a charity close to all of our hearts, so we want to help make transformative steps in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

As many of you know, Steel Vintage donated one of our Pilot Coffee Tables to the cause. We offered any £5 donation as an entry into the raffle for this table (RRP £5,376 +VAT), and we have been blown away by everyone’s generosity!

We managed to raise £1,955 for Cancer Research UK.

Thank you to everyone who donated & entered the competition!
