The kitchen is the heart of the home, but they are often the most challenging room in the house to organise. Many of us dread spending time in our kitchens because we find them uninspiring, boring and difficult to use. But fear not; there’s an easy way to make your kitchen much more welcoming and enjoyable.
We all use our kitchens differently, so why should it be a matter of one-size-fits-all for this space? An open space with many additional surfaces is ideal for those who enjoy cooking and love entertaining. For those that do not enjoy spending time in the kitchen – a more compact space with all the necessities within reach is a more appealing option. Which one are you?
A lot goes into planning, designing and installing a new kitchen, with a typical project taking around 6 – 9 months from initial concept to completion. If a new kitchen is on your list of home improvements this year, don’t hesitate – start the process today.
Here’s a guide to on how to order your new kitchen from us:
Research
One of the first things to consider is what is the best kitchen layout for your home – more often than not, this will be determined by the space you have available; however, if you’re after a more drastic change to your original kitchen, or you are building your own home, you have the freedom to decide which layout suits you best. You don’t need to worry about the types of units you’re after at this stage. We can work with you to create the designs and plans that fit your lifestyle, budget & overall vision for the space; however, if you come to us with a rough idea, this will help us get a head start.
Initial Enquiry
Once you have a rough idea of the kind of kitchen you’re after, get in touch! It’s great if you can come to us with a floor plan for either the current kitchen or architectural designs, complete with dimensions and details on any features of the room that may require additional design work, such as exposed pipes or boiler locations. This helps us predict the project size so we can best advise you on our lead times and price range.
We offer four kitchen styles: Armoury, Brunel, Engineering, and Machinery. All of these can mixed & matched to create a kitchen that is just as unique as you are. If you know which designs you’re leaning towards, this will also help us when it comes to the price range.

Consultation
Once we’ve received your initial enquiry, we’ll be in touch; we find it helpful to speak directly to the customer in the early stages of such a significant project. We’ll have questions to ask, as we’re sure you will too – also, we feel it’s essential to put a voice (or face) to the name of our company early on so you know who you’re dealing with.
At this stage, we’ll begin asking about the kinds of units you’re after; do you require tall units, wall-hanging cupboards, or integrated units for appliances? We’ll mockup your initial designs using a 3D drawing program to output a virtual version. This way, you can see the unit’s appearance before it’s even built! This will allow us to work together on the design, making changes as we go along until it’s perfect.
Quotation
Once we’ve gathered all this information, we’ll start putting together an itemised quote broken down into unit types, which we’ll send you for approval. We’ll also be able to give you an estimate of the build time for your project. If you’re happy with everything, we can then get started on final designs and manufacture.
Design
During the next few steps, our designers may reach out to you if they have any questions, but you can rest assured that your new kitchen is underway. You will receive a more detailed version of the initial kitchen design (General Arrangement drawings, or GA); this will also be populated with the dimensions of the units, including integrated parts, allowing you to double-check the measurements before we send your kitchen into production.
Production
Once you have approved the GA, we will order your materials from our suppliers and once received, we will begin production. The production process can take between 3 – 6 weeks, depending on the complexity of your kitchen. We will keep you updated throughout the process, so you know what stage we are at with each item on your order list. As soon as everything is ready, we will send you photos of your finished kitchen fully assembled so we can get your approval before wrapping & dispatching from our workshop.
Delivery & Installation
We can arrange delivery from our workshop to a delivery destination of your choice, however, you will need to arrange for an external company to carry out the installation once delivery has taken place. We can communicate with your installation team on the day to ensure no issues, as well as provide instructions if required.
Please bear this in mind regarding your project budget, it is also great is you have a company in mind early on in the process so it does not delay the gap between delivery and installation, therefore avoiding leaving you without a kitchen for too long!
Contact us today if you have any questions or want to begin the journey to your dream kitchen. We’re more than happy to help.
