Brunel is arguably the most famous engineer to have lived having worked on many revolutionary projects including railways, bridges and ships. The elegantly designed features of our unique Brunel Corner Pedestal Desk make it a truly remarkable piece of industrial furniture paying homage to an inspiring engineering icon.
Design and construction.
The hand fabricated X shape legs are made from 50x50mm box steel which is 3mm thick. Each foot is 100x100mm and 8mm thick whilst the 50x25mm box steel top frame ensures that the 25mm thick timber sits perfectly flat. Each foot comes with felt pads to protect your floor. There are a number of valve handles, copper pipes, brass fittings, wooden trims and steel radiators which provide the Steampunk look. The side return features the same laser-cut privacy panel with additional valve handles and iconic copper piping.

Assembly details.
All of our office desks come with detachable legs as standard. There are 6 x M8 bolts that attach each leg to the frame using the supplied 5mm Hex key. The cable tray and privacy panel also bolt to the main frame.
