Environment

“You must be the change you wish to see in the world” Mahatma Gandhi

Over consumption of the Earth’s resources is unsustainable and incredibly damaging to the environment.  The furniture industry contributes to deforestation and in turn global warming. In particular the beef and leather trade is responsible for 14% of the world’s total annual deforestation, making it the world’s largest single driver of deforestation.

As a furniture manufacturer the best way for us to minimise our contribution to the problem of overconsumption is to produce products that are sustainable. Not only are sustainable products better for the environment but they are also better for the future generations who will be able to continue benefiting from the diverse range of natural resources that our planet has to offer.

Consumers are increasingly looking for products that have a low impact on the environment. Terms such as Fair-trade, Organic and Vegan have become socially acceptable with more and more people, especially in the more affluent areas, wishing to purchase socially and environmentally friendly products.

As a responsible company, where possible, we look to source all raw materials and consumable products from sustainable and environmentally friendly suppliers.

By designing and producing furniture that is of a high standard of craftsmanship, and using quality materials, our furniture will have the potential to last generations. In contrast to the mass produced products abundant in the industry our products will hopefully avoid landfill and be fully recyclable at the end of their life.
